This picture is made at the shore of the Antarctic Peninsula close to the British research station Rothera Base. Even in the Antarctic Summer, which is already coming towards ist end, it can be very cold around here and spontaneous snow storms are quite common. Therefore, special polar clothing and effective face protection is extremely important. Yet surprisingly is the fact that it sometimes even rains here.
